Julie has competed in 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, 2 marathons, sprint and olympic distance triathlons plus can do a 4 minute plank, 2 minute side plank and 2 minute headstand. Since joining Bramhall Runners in 2016 I have completed 8 Marathons 4 Ultras numerous 10k 5K Cross Country and Fell Races.
I love supporting and encouraging new members as I found Bramhall Runners such a supportive club when I joined.

Michael has completed 6 marathons and one day hopes to run all 6 majors (2 down, 4 to go!). He has also completed a Half Ironman with a full one in the pipeline! He is interested in improving speed in the older runner (working smarter, not harder), and the psychology involved in training and racing (ignoring the ‘central governor’).
Likes: The camaraderie of runners

Sam has completed all distances from 5K to Marathon, she started running in 2013 when she discovered parkrun.
She also has great knowledge on running shoes (and gait analysis), so if you ever want any advice just ask – she won’t mind.
Likes: parkrun, chocolate cake, Christmas, helping others and planning/organising.
Dislikes: running in the rain, waiting for Christmas 😉.
Emma has run from the age of 16. She joined the Royal Navy when she was 18 and caught the running bug competing for the Navy and Inter-services in 3000m, 5000m, 10000m on the track and then 5km, 10km road races, cross country and olympic distance triathlons. Outside of the Navy Emma competed in 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, 2 marathons and 1 x 55km Ultra and a number of fell and trail events. She also took part in 4 x 48 Hour 100km walking events called Trailwalker raising money for charity.
Emma loves to share her knowledge and experience and loves seeing new runners catch the running bug too! She has helped grow Bramhall Runners Kids Run club and enjoys seeing kids of all abilities incorporate running as part of a healthy mindset and lifestyle.
Likes: Fresh coffee in a morning, baking cakes… flapjacks especially, a challenge, walking around nature.

Sally has competed in sprint and middle distance triathlons, duathlons, half marathons, a marathon, 5 and 10K races, plus cycling time trials and sportives.

Cath has been running the Beginners courses for Bramhall Runners for over 6 years and loves to pass on the ‘enjoyment’ of running to new people. She has completed running distances from 5k to Ultra Marathon along with a couple of Sportive and Duathlons.
I have completed 5ks, 10ks and 5-10 mile races, some trail races and Cross Country. I enjoy helping the beginners/intermediate sessions and seeing athletes making progress from 0 to 10k.
Likes: Visiting new places, spending time with family. Decaf latte and Mexican food.
Dislikes: Seafood
Joanne has raced distances from 5k up to half marathon and is currently training for her first marathon in April 2020. She has also competed in triathlons and cycling events.
She has been a Bramhall Runner from its offset, leading runs for the last couple of years. She also helps lead the juniors club The Bramhall Green Machines.
Likes: Running in the sunshine, travelling and gin.
Dislikes: Blisters!
