2025 parkrun Age Grade League

How does it work?

Each month we have nominated one parkrun venue for the Age Grade League.

You can take part in that parkrun event as many times as you like that month.

Due to the way parkrun historically calculates Age Grades, we will have a separate men’s and women’s competition.

At the end of the month, everyone’s best Age Grading from that parkrun across the whole month are ranked:

  • The highest age grade each month receives the highest score.
  • The highest age grade each month receives 25 points.
  • The second highest age grade each month receives 24 points.
  • The next highest age grade receives one less point, and so on.
  • The maximum points available per month is 25.
  • The minimum points available per month is 1.
  • Everyone from position 25 and below each month receives 1 point.

At the end of the year, points from all the months are tallied, and the winners are the men and women with the highest points!

Participants must have Bramhall Runners registered as one of their parkrun clubs (ideally the primary club). But, unlike the Race Series, club kit is not a requirement, but is still strongly encouraged.

Example scoring…

If one month the parkrun Age Grade location was the fictional Scramhall parkrun…

  • In that month, Sandy Morter achieves an age grading high of 80.5% at Scramhall parkrun.
  • In that month, Hank Prod achieves an age grading high of 72.4% at Scramhall parkrun.
  • Also in that month, the third highest age grading was achieved by Pat Horan of 69.99% at Scramhall parkrun.
  • As such, Sandy would be awarded 25 points, Hank 24, and Pat 23.

Note: names have been changed to protect the innocent.
