Bramhall Runners

2025 Race Series

Rules

  • Participants must be fully registered and paid Bramhall Runners members on the date of the event.
  • Participants must be registered for the event using their Bramhall Runners affiliation and this affiliation must be visible on the event results.
  • For parkruns, one of each participant’s five nominated clubs must be ‘Bramhall Runners’ (but it doesn’t need to be the primary club, although this is the ideal, i.e., you must appear on the club consolidated parkrun results). Update your parkrun affiliation(s) here: https://www.parkrun.com/signin
  • Club racing kit must be worn and visible throughout each event, this only includes: the Bramhall Runners Kelly Green race vests or race t-shirts, or the Run North West branded 10-year anniversary t-shirt, or official ‘Green Machines’ kit (under-18s only).
  • Black Bramhall Runners tops or hi-viz Bramhall Runners tops will not be accepted.
  • No kit exceptions will be made, this includes, for example, pacers in events.
  • The Race Series organisers might seek photographic proof that suitable racing kit was worn.

Points

  • There are separate Race Series competitions for men and for women.
  • The first Bramhall Runner finisher in each event (that meets the criteria in the rules) will receive 25 points.
  • The next Bramhall Runner finisher (meeting the rules) will receive 24 points, and so on.
  • The 25th Bramhall Runner finisher and all Bramhall Runners finishing after them (assuming they all meet the rules) will receive 1 point.

Volunteering Points

  • New for 2025!
  • Volunteering Points are available at the three Bramhall Runners Foodbank Races.
  • Volunteering Points are only awarded to those who are on the official volunteer list for any of the Foorbank Races (or kids races).
  • Volunteering Points are not awarded to anyone who earns normal Race Series points in the event (with the exception of the Tail Walker).
  • The Tail Walker will earn Volnteer Points plus normal Race Series Points.
  • The Tail Walker does not need to be registered for the event or appear on the results.
  • It will be assumed that the Tail Walker finished last.
  • Volunteers do not need to wear visible Bramhall Runners race kit, as volunteers will likely need to wear hi-viz and suitable clothing dependant upon the conditions.
  • All Volunteers who meet these requirements will recieve 10 Race Series Points.
  • Volunteers can play their Joker (see below).

Joker!

  • New for 2025!
  • Each participant has one joker that they can play.
  • Playing their joker means that they will earn double points at the next event!
  • Jokers must be played before 10pm the day before the event takes place at the latest.
  • Once played, a joker cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, double of zero is still zero! If you play your joker, make sure you turn up!

How to play your joker:

  • To play your joker you need to post that you are playing it (and for which event) on the club Facebook page, or
  • send a message either to Julie Fairclough or Matt Darnley (either by email or Facebook).

Disclaimer

  • We have no control over any of the events that make-up the Race Series.
  • Should an event be cancelled then no points will be awarded for that event.
  • If an event is rescheduled to clash with another event in the series, people need to choose which event they enter.
  • Where two, or more, events take place on the same day, only one event is eligible per runner for the Race Series. If someone takes part in more than one event on the same day, they will be awarded the points for their highest scoring event only.
  • The organisers reserve the right to change the dates or venues of parkruns due to unforeseen clashes or pre-knowledge of an event cancellation. At least two weeks notice will be given. If two weeks notice cannot be given, then that parkrun will be removed from the Race Series.
