2026 parkrun Age Grade League

How does it work?

Each month we have nominated one parkrun venue for the Age Grade League.

You can take part in that parkrun event as many times as you like that month.

Due to the way parkrun historically calculates Age Grades, we will have a separate men’s and women’s competition.

At the end of the month, everyone’s best Age Grading from that parkrun across the whole month are ranked:

  • The highest age grade each month receives the highest score.
  • The highest age grade each month receives 25 points.
  • The second highest age grade each month receives 24 points.
  • The next highest age grade receives one less point, and so on.
  • The maximum points available per month is 25.
  • The minimum points available per month is 1.
  • Everyone from position 25 and below each month receives 1 point.

At the end of the year, points from all the months are tallied, and the winners are the men and women with the highest points!

Participants must have Bramhall Runners registered as one of their parkrun clubs (ideally the primary club). New for 2026, like the Race Series, club kit is a requirement, see Rules below.

Example scoring…

If one month the parkrun Age Grade location was the fictional Scramhall parkrun…

  • In that month, Sandy Morter achieves an age grading high of 80.5% at Scramhall parkrun.
  • In that month, Hank Prod achieves an age grading high of 72.4% at Scramhall parkrun.
  • Also in that month, the third highest age grading was achieved by Pat Horan of 69.99% at Scramhall parkrun.
  • As such, Sandy would be awarded 25 points, Hank 24, and Pat 23.

Note: names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Rules

  • New for 2026!
  • Participants must be fully registered and paid Bramhall Runners (or Green Machines) members on the date of the event.
  • One of each participant’s five nominated clubs must be ‘Bramhall Runners’ it doesn’t need to be the primary club, although this is the ideal, i.e., you must appear on the club consolidated parkrun results). Update your parkrun affiliation(s) here: https://www.parkrun.com/signin
  • Club racing kit must be worn and visible throughout each event, this only includes: the Bramhall Runners Kelly Green race vests or race t-shirts, or the Run North West branded 10-year anniversary t-shirt, or official ‘Green Machines’ kit (under-18s only).
  • Black Bramhall Runners tops or hi-viz Bramhall Runners tops will not be accepted.
  • No kit exceptions will be made, this includes, for example, pacers in events, or tops worn over kit (on cold days).
  • The Age Grade League organisers might seek photographic proof that suitable racing kit was worn.
  • If advance notice of parkrun cancellations are available, we reserve the right to change a month’s location. However, if any Age Grades have been recorded at the event in that month then the venue will not be changed under any circumstances.
